Seriously? Where did the month go? December just flew right on by. Of course being “unplugged” for the past 2 weeks didn’t help, (or did it!? ) Why was I unplugged? Ahh.. well. Relocated the home/office/studio… a mere 7 blocks away, but still ALOT of work! Packing, moving, unpacking…and now spending 2-3 days setting the office back up. Blah! Seriously, moving is one of my LEAST favorite things to do.
I did a few shoots this month, mostly personal projects, family coverage (birthday and holidays), though have not processed any of it. Will be catching up after new years with that as well as sharing some exciting news/projects that I have planned for 2012.

Just wanted remind you that I am still trying to put something together for this years Help Portrait. Jeremy Cowart’s started this a few years ago and I think its a great idea. I wrote about it back in Sept, but the date is right around the corner… i.e. December 10 2011
Basic concept:
- Find Someone in Need.
- Take Their Portrait
- Print Their Portrait
- Deliver.
Still looking for someone who wants a portrait taken and is in need. Please email me with leads if you have them. Additionally, I would REALLY love to make this a larger scale event… maybe with another photographer, hair stylist, makeup artist and help more then 1 person.
Maybe for those who are out of work and need a new photo for social networking, Linked In, profile pic etc.
If you want to participate in any capacity, let me know!
Good Monday morning everyone…I hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend.
I wanted to remind you that there is still time to sign-up for the 4th annual WorldWide Photowalk. I am the local walk leader for the Redondo Beach area, and I posted information about it here. Our walk is scheduled for October 2, 2011.
Some questions have been raised, and I thought I’d answer them here:
Q: Do I need a “Pro Camera” or be a “Pro”
A: NO! All you have to be is interested in Photography and meeting fellow enthusiasts! Point and shoots are fine.
Q: Is there a min age? i.e. can my kids go?
A: No min age per say, but keep in mind, it is a walk (or stroller) and little kids might not want to walk that much. I know mine didn’t. Also, I am going to say that no kids under 16 without guardian with them or 18 without permission/waiver.
Q: Is it really free?
A: Yes. Except for parking and anything you might want to eat/drink afterwards.

As expected, I had a very busy week, shot 9 events! I love being busy! Here are a few shots from the show with The Floaters at Texas Loosey’s last week. Nice turnout, some great music and a very interesting place to shoot a show…in this case a very very small place, not really a stage but who doesn’t love a challenge?!
